Ministry Moments - 4/15
Share the Gospel Everywhere…!
Well, I was having a difficult time getting volunteers to hit the streets with me for Squirrel Hill. However, I had been invited to join a Facebook group called Jews, Messianic Jews, & Christians Discussion Group. Since accepting this invitation, God has led me into many conversations with Jewish men and women--especially observant Jewish people. It has been a great blessing as we wait for the weather to change, as Spring is here and Summer is coming. God has given me at least eight lengthy conversations in this group and I will continue to share the Gospel in this group as seeds are being planted daily by myself and other brothers and sisters in the LORD.
One of the best conversations I had this week was with Sarah, who believed that Isaiah 53 spoke of Israel. but eventually retracted when told that almost every rabbi before Rashi believed that it spoke of the Messiah--including Rambam. She also saw how Israel cannot die for Israel, which she saw clearly once it was pointed out to her. She was so interested in continuing the conversation that she sent a friend request. Pray for Sarah, as she seeks to know her Messiah.
We Need Volunteers…!
After Stephen and I got to share at RPTS--my alma-mater--Pastor Ed Blackwood, who teaches the Evangelism Class gave his class the opportunity to join us in the streets of Squirrel Hill. Professor Blackwood called me to ask what I thought. I was so excited for the chance to get RPTS students doing street ministry with us. Seven students have shown interest, and of those, three are joining us in the streets this week! It is great to know that the church is seeing the responsibility that we all have as believers to share the Gospel to Jewish people, as well as all people that God brings into our lives. My other five volunteers from the last two years are also all ready to get back on the streets. We expect God to do awesome things this Spring and Summer in Squirrel Hill, as well as Cleveland Heights, South Florida, and Upstate New York. Pray for many to meet their Messiah!
